Answer
The Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service (NIFRS) is a key member of the National Fire Chiefs Councils Strategic Wildfire Group. The group’s aim is to provide best and innovative practice towards the preparedness, collaborative working, and response ability of UKFRS response to wildfires.
NIFRS monitor emerging wildfire risks through professional engagement, environmental awareness and shared learning, supporting forward planning and readiness, including its contribution to the Northern Ireland Strategic Wildfire Framework and Action Plan 2025–2030.
