Answer
The Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service (NIFRS) responded effectively and professionally to the recent landscape fires demonstrating commitment, skill and resilience in protecting life, property and the environment.
As with all significant operational events, NIFRS conduct structured post-incident debriefs and lessons-learned processes to ensure that any learning is identified and applied. As NIFRS sponsor, my Department engages with NIFRS to ensure capability, resilience and value for money continue to be optimised.
